This is Jack and Jennifer's first time! It takes place in a cave on Ernesto Toscano's deserted island. They land on the island after surviving Ernesto's sinking of the Loretta, the ill-fated cruise ship he'd lured them onto along with several other residents of Salem (a saga entitled the "Cruise of Deception").

But that tale is for another day. Our story here begins with Jennifer recovering from a fever, the result of an infection from a cut on her leg. Jack had been extremely concerned, and he'd personally nursed her back to health, watching over her day and night.

However, now she's feeling back to her old self. Indeed, she's ready to take advantage of the situation to finally seal the deal with Deveraux. She's been trying to get Jack to surrender to his feelings for a long time, even going so far as to get engaged to that poor sucker Emilio Ramirez to force Jack to take action. Jack had stopped the wedding via fire engine, but nothing had been resolved between them.

On the cruise, she and Jack had almost made love, but they were rudely interrupted by the supposedly dead Ernesto revealing himself to be very much alive. He'd then proceeded to blow up the ship, which completely killed the mood but thankfully none of the passengers. Everyone all floated to safety on an inflatable life raft, but Jennifer had gotten the aforementioned cut and fever. Now that she's well, Jennifer is hoping to pick up where they left off; Jack is having second thoughts, however.

Clever Jennifer decides to make it very, very hard for Jack to resist her by asking him to help her undress and bathe. He makes a valiant effort and manages to undress her without incident, but when it comes to bathing her, well, every man has a breaking point...

Once Jack realizes he won't be able to stop himself from making love to Jennifer if he bathes her - and Jennifer also has picked up on the fact that she's brought him to the edge because she not-so-subtly lets him know she wants the "bath" to be foreplay and he should go for it - he tells her he can't do it.

Why not? Jacksonian logic: Jack, a man who can never forget the life-altering catastrophes of past relationships, believes it's really a bad idea to go for "loved and lost" when you could play it safe and never love at all.

Jack imagines a future where Jennifer no longer loves him, a future where she looks at him with the same kind of loathing as her cousin (and his ex-fiancee) Melissa, a future he considers almost certain. Yes, Jennifer thinks they'll be the perfect couple, but it's only because she's naive. She'll regret giving herself to him later once she realizes what he already believes: he's not good enough for her. Inevitably, it will end horribly, and they'll both be very sorry. By then, though, it will be too late, because there's no going back after intimacy.

The obvious conclusion is to "just say no" to Jennifer despite how badly he wants to be with her, despite the fact that he loves her.

But alluring Jennifer, with her words of love and reassurance, looking at him with such adoration in her eyes, practically vibrating with desire for him, is finally able to coax Jack past all of these fears and into her arms. She makes him believe in her dream; she makes him believe they are "right" together.

It finally happens at 20:19. First, though, he tells her something very important: "I love you" at 20:10. (It feels so short, doesn't it? But that's all there was, folks!)

Their honesty and tenderness with each other in the afterglow at 21:08 is beautiful to see. Jack seems endlessly fascinated by Jennifer's hair, and as he plays with it, they share their innermost feelings.

Their "bath" together at 25:32 is incredibly sexy and great montage fodder for years to come! Those montages will leave out Bo and Hope stumbling over them, of course. Paradise Lost indeed.

Before Jennifer gets dressed, Jack allows his eyes to feast upon Jennifer's flawless figure one more time as she stands before him wearing nothing but shimmering droplets of pond water starting at 27:26. He freely admits he's admiring her beauty when she asks why he stares. It's steamy and sweet at the same time, a fitting conclusion to Jack and Jennifer's consummation.
