Turning 28 and starting a year of side quests

Hey all! Different kind of video for this week. Less polished and more introspective.

When this video gets posted, it’s the weekend before my 28th birthday. And I’m glad to be able to spend it with my husband. If you’re reading this, I’m currently in my airbnb with him and my cats chilling by the pool and hot tub to beat the summer heat.

I’m grateful for all the things that has happened to me in my 27th year.

It marked a lot of milestones for me: I graduated from medical school, I took the national board exams and started my USMLE journey, got officially licensed to practice as an MD in the Philippines, got married, and became a first-time cat owner all within a span of 6-7 months. I’m excited for what new adventures year 28 has in store for me. I can only hope it will be less frustrating and lonely as the latter half of my 27th year. But I’m going into it with a brand new mindset. And a more carefree attitude.
