A slide show of the construction of a lute by Arthur Robb. This is an 8 course Renaissance lute based on the work of northern Italian makers c. 1600

The music is played on Arthur Robb lutes. The first piece is Crux Catalyst by Lamb and Kean (1998). The latter two pieces are played on the lute being made here and are by John Dowland and John Johnson.
