This video is dedicated to Jeremy Soule's modern classic album "The Northerner Diaries: Symphonic Sketches", which gathers a number of musical pieces written during the research and development of the "Northerner Diaries" project which was never completed.
Despite the unpleasant story behind it, this album contains some truly wondeful music gems from Soule, reaching an emotional sensibility that is impressive considering the composer's previous works with The Elder Scrolls. The titles of each track derives from Iceland, a place where Soule did much research for the music of this album.
There are many videos on YouTube that simply present the full album, but this one is different. Not only I changed the order of various tracks to make it more pleasant to listen, I also mixed together some of them to improve the experience (most noticeably, I mixed "Freswick" and "Jafnan" in one track and connected "Bifröst" to "Ginnung"). For these reasons, this video is more like an album presentation with personalized adjustments, or a "rework" as I titled it. I wish for all who watches this video to enjoy it!
