Full game longplay of ShellShock: Nam '67, a third person shooter, released by Guerilla Games on September 2004 on the PC, PS2, and the Xbox. Played on an original Xbox hardware, in widescreen mode, and a 480p progressive mode display hacked in via ogxHD (it originally run at only 480i).

Started playing on Medium, but then my Xbox's HDD died, and when I loaded in the save, it changed to Easy somehow. There is no way to change the difficulty in-game or anything. Rip. Also, it was pretty hard later on still, even on Easy. Kind of bullshit, bubt oh well, at least doable.

Note: there are moments when the audio sounds somewhat muted or messed up, it's due to the licensed music being "muted" by Youtube itself, music like Pretty Woman etc. Very copyright heavy.

ShellShock: Nam '67 is a pretty uninspiring game, definitely average or even below average. Just your standard run of the mill third person shooter, nothing too crazy or exciting in the story, gameplay is nothing out of ordinary. Pretty interesting design with the intermission fragments, where you are free to roam your camp and spend your dogtags and whatever, that's pretty interesting. Quite a lot of gore, and brutality, and that's the way it should have been. But overall, I've played much better, and much more "advanced" TPP shooters, this one is pretty bland in comparison. 6/10 maybe? Not a fan.

The game starts in January 1967 in Saigon, South Vietnam. A CH-47 Chinook containing Caleb "Cal" Walker, the game's protagonist, and other G.I.s, lands at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in southern Saigon. Walker, along with his squad mate, Private "Psycho" Kowalski, are chosen by Colonel Salter, the CO, to participate in an air assault on a Viet Cong encampment within Kon Tum province. Walker and Kowalski are put under the command of Lieutenant O'Brien along with another G.I. nicknamed "Short Timer". As Caleb and his squad proceed through the area, a friendly fire incident, involving flawed mortar coordinates, forces another G.I. named Tompkins, to join the squad. Along with the help of a special operations squad made up of Sergeant Ramirez, "Tick Tock" and "Eyeball", they help Walker and the others clear out the VC encampment. The encampment is soon after converted to a fire base, which serves as a headquarters for Walker and his unit. Soon after, Walker's squad is tasked with investigating VC activity in a nearby village.
