Hey guys, good to see you back! It’s been a long time. I’ve managed to push myself to finish this concept after many months.

The concept for this video is based on the (not-so-recent) Persona 6 leaks. The leaks suggest that Persona 6 will explore the theme of duality, featuring two protagonists with contrasting personalities named Kuro and Shiro—names that translate to "black" and "white" in Japanese.

The game is rumoured to be set in an art school, where the narrative will delve into the conflict between modernity and tradition. Additionally, Persona 6 is reported to adopt a "semi-open world" design. For this, I chose a traditional town for the world design.

💭 For this concept:

To implement this, I started with the overall idea of having the UI based on modern abstract art. For the menu concept itself, I literally came up with it in the shower as a shower thought. The symbolism behind the menu wipe is that, in this story, this character (Kuro) has to make himself known to Shiro and his surroundings, as more of an underdog.

In earlier stages, the two wipes were more of a green ‘paint’ wipe instead of the ‘damp mirror’ wipe that it is now. With the release of Metaphor, I decided not to include any paint effects.

The music direction is based on indie-funk, something that could fit with the modern side of this Persona 6 concept.
