At the end of the day it's your money so do what you want with it, but when I do videos on Whisky cask 'investment', know that I'm usually talking about these 3rd parties that are spamming you with ads and shifting cheap Whisky for ridiculous amounts.

Most distilleries when selling casks pitch it as a way to be a part of the journey, to own a piece of the distillery, to be a part of the history and to help them with growth. They don't usually spam you in the face with guaranteed returns, previous performance indicators from unrelated stats or options to sell your cask to other investors.

The sad thing that I see sometimes is distilleries pitching their casks as investments and quoting data based upon Rare bottles. If you're a new distillery, that's never sold any liquid previously, how can you quote past performance of other brands? Apples and pears surely?

I've said in a few of my videos that there's only one distillery I'd buy a cask from personally, and that's purely because I'm a big fan of the brand, the team, what they're doing and most importantly the liquid. I wouldn't expect it to make money, but if it did, happy days.
I won't write them here incase it looks like I'm pedalling their product haha but if you watch my videos you'd notice I've mention it a couple times.
