This "guide" shows how i managed to fix the creaking/cracking and the tolerances on my Glorious Model D mouse. I cut off a small square shaped piece of band aid (The part which has glue on it, not the one that has the soft fabric) and just stuck it onto the plastic bar that contacts and triggers the switch.
