2017 INFINITI QX30 - Intelligent Key and Locking Functions

You can use the Intelligent Key to lock and unlock your vehicle and operate the windows. The key must be within approximately three feet of a request switch to work. Press THIS button to simultaneously lock all of the doors, the hatch, and the fuel filler door.

The turn signals flash once.

Continue pressing the lock button on the Intelligent Key to close the windows. Touching this surface on the door handle also locks the vehicle.
Press THIS button on the Intelligent Key to simultaneously unlock all of the doors, the hatch, and the fuel filler door.

The turn signals flash twice.

Continue pressing the unlock button on the Intelligent Key to open the windows. Touch the inner surface of the door handle to unlock the vehicle.
Press the PANIC button on the Intelligent Key if you are near your vehicle and feel threatened.

The panic alarm will sound and the yellow parking lights stay on for a period of time or until the PANIC button on the key fob is pressed.

The Intelligent Key programming is set from the factory to unlock and lock all of the doors simultaneously when the unlock or lock button is pressed. Press the lock and unlock button simultaneously for six seconds to change the programming. Now, only the driver door and fuel filler door unlock when pressing the unlock button once. Press it twice to unlock all of the doors.

Once inside the vehicle, you can lock and unlock all doors by pushing the driver’s or front passenger’s power door lock switch. Individual doors can be manually locked or unlocked using the inside lock knobs.

If you exit the vehicle with the Intelligent Key left inside, the doors will not lock.

In the rare instance when your Intelligent Key battery is discharged, you can still lock or unlock the vehicle. You’ll find a mechanical key concealed in the Intelligent Key. To remove it, release the lock knob and slide the mechanical key out. You can then insert it into the key cylinder on the driver’s door and turn to lock or unlock the vehicle.

The Intelligent Key contains sensitive electrical components. Please avoid these circumstances that could affect its operation:
● Avoid dropping or striking it against another object,
● Keep it away from water,
● Keep it away from equipment with magnetic fields, including computers, cell phones, TVs and audio accessories, and
● Avoid using a key chain that contains a magnet.
