Moweo Bedside Crib vs. Chicco Next2Me

Описание к видео Moweo Bedside Crib vs. Chicco Next2Me

Both cribs are pretty similar. The concept is of a fabric cot on an aluminum base, can be folded into a provided bag and taken on the road. Each is about 10 kilos, so they are not particularly lightweight. Each can be used as cot or a bedside crib, securely attached to parents’ bed. At the time of video (August 2018), Moweo was 700SEK, Chicco 1500SEK – both on sales; normally they cost more, but there is a price difference between the two (Moweo is the cheaper version).

Moweo Bedside Crib Review
First impression. Unpacking was a mess. It is slightly difficult to assemble, though I guess you can get more accustomed to it with time.
Once assembled. First thing you notice, it rocks A LOT. It feels rather wobbly. The mattress is extremely thin (I’d say 1-1.5cm), but has a sturdy wooden base. The cot’s sides are slightly padded. Fabric has a nice feel to it, can be taken off the carcass. The zips on the side of the cot can easily be unzipped and the side removed in order for the crib to be attached to the parents’ bed. Once the side of the cot is rolled down (which is not very esthethic), I had a feeling that the mattress becomes uneven and leans down, so the baby could potentially slide.
Pros:
- Price! Very cheap option.
- Has the same advantages as the mainstream bedside cots: can be easily used as a cot or a bedside crib.
- 90cm in length – larger than most cots of this type, would serve longer.

Cons:
- Wobbly! Doesn’t feel secure at ALL.
- VERY thin mattress.

Conclusion: Good if you need a temporary bed or something to take on a car trip for the baby. But I personally would get a different mattress for it for sleeping on a regular basis. We have sent it back.

Chicco Next2Me
First impression. Very easy to assemble. You easily click three parts together, then attach the fabric cot. Storage bag is somewhat worse quality than the Moweo bag.
Once assembled. Rocks only a little, feels quite secure. Has a reasonably good mattress, which is also very firm – that is better for babies. Cot sides are not padded, the fabric is nice to the touch and feels breathable. Fabric can be taken off the carcass and hand-washed – not convenient for baby gear. The cot side is slightly difficult to take off, but it is nicely attached under the cot and is not in the way. Overall, I have a very good feeling from this bed – it’s sturdy and feels safe for baby.
Pros:
- Bedside crib advantages
- Sturdier
- Good mattress
- Easy to assemble

Cons:
- Slightly smaller than Moweo (82cm)
- More expensive

Conclusion: I found it a good option and will use it as a regular bedside crib for the baby. It is also easy to pack and have on the road in no time.
