Beauregard Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single wide mobile home with heavy smoke showing from sides B, C, and D. Neighbors on scene advised that they believed someone was trapped inside the residence. Opelika Fire responding automatic aid to BVFD arrived on scene. OFD Engine 3 began fire suppression using an 1 3/4 inch handline. BVFD along with OFD Rescue 2 started a primary search of the residence. Once complete, search came back negative for any victims. Search crews assisted Engine 3 with fire suppression while another crew with BVFD completed a secondary search. Once complete, search came back negative x2. It was later determined that there was no one home during the fire. No injuries were reported. Fire damage was contained to the rear bedroom / bathroom were the fire originated. Fire cause was under investigation. BVFD responded with five apparatus and 12 personnel. BVFD was assisted at the scene by Opelika Fire Rescue, Southwest Fire Rescue, and Lee Co Sheriffs Office.
