Our spring into summer transition is coming along nicely, yet requires a lot of work and enduring of the sun's heat.

This morning David was able to get the shade cloth over the chicken run and coop, to make things more comfortable for them. It truly makes a difference, something I insisted on last year, when I noticed how hot they got.

In addition, I wanted to get my strawberry plants into a new GreenStalk that my husband had me order for Mother's Day, as I shared with him, this will help greatly compared to picking from the ground. Our old plants were slowly not producing, or our competed with the birds, chipmunks and squirrels, so with this unit, I have a cover that I will put on at night to help deter them. We shall see. Everything in life is a lesson on our journey.
