South Korean Combat Control Team Recruitment Ad (2024)

New promotional video for the Republic of Korea Air Force Combat Control Team (CCT) has been released.

The latest video showcases the unit's new mission set: aircraft assault in military air bases. Army 707th Special Mission Group and Police Special Operations Units will likely continue taking on that mission set in civilian airports. It's quite unusual for Air Force comkbat controllers to take on counter-terrorism role, but that's what the ROK Ministry of National Defense deemed was necessary.

ROKAF CCT is already an extremely small, niche organization. I personally believe tasking them with CT on top of their intended mission set is a misuse of manpower and resources.
