Here I show you how easy and reliable a 4 wheel combination padlock (made by LOCKWOOD) can be decoded. This lock has fase gates and is great fun to open. Thanks a lot to ** Don'z Lockz ** for this wonderful toy. At the end I explain the inner mechanics and the method of decoding on similar lock that was disassembled. Decoding starts at 2:00.

That is the method in short words: Apply tension on the shackle and turn the wheels until all are in a gate - false or true is not relevant. Then start with the first wheel, testing the play of every second number and take the number with the most play. Continue until the last wheel and boom - open.
