On December 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the royal ceremony of His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuk of the Kingdom of Bhutan took place at Chulalongkorn University, supported by the university's administrators and Bhutanese students, who respectfully received information from His Majesty.

On this occasion, Professor Surakiat, currently President of Chulalongkorn University, expressed gratitude for His Majesty's benevolence. The Chulalongkorn University Council resolved to respectfully confer an honorary Doctor of Arts degree upon His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk for his dignified conduct in promoting the well-being of his people with unwavering judgment. This includes observing directions, implementing royal projects, especially those concerning youth and children, enhancing the people's quality of life, and supporting the expression of public opinion according to tradition.
