This is one of 10 murals found around Central Middlesbrough, some high up, or on the sides of buildings. Artist Nicky Peacock was inspired by poems she’d seen hand-painted on the walls of Leiden in the Netherlands. Painter Phil Anderson brought the quotations and designs to life on walls around Central Middlesbrough.

On the same wall, and there before the quote mural, is Karl Striker's "Monkey", a black and white monochrome image of a young girl holding a weapon behind her back, a toy monkey hanging from one end.
