Jane Austen Characters Come to Life on English Beach by Artist Simon Beck to Save Sanditon

Sanditon is a TV series adapted by Andrew Davies (of 1995 Pride & Prejudice fame) based on Jane Austen’s final uncompleted novel. Like Jane Austen’s story on which it is based, Sanditon is currently incomplete. The series is only half-finished, with a heart-wrenching cliffhanger, and a very un Austen-like finale. The outcry of shock and anger from fans after the finale morphed into a collective demand for the continuation of the series. Fans all over the world took to social media to mobilise their campaign to #SaveSanditon, and thus a group of fans called the #SanditonSisterhood was born. On September 14 2020 the campaign to renew the international hit series was taken to a spectacular new level! The #SanditonSisterhood commissioned World-Renowned Artist Simon Beck to create a special #SaveSanditon sand art on the famous Brean Beach in the UK where lots of iconic #Sanditon scenes were filmed. Fans raised the funds to commission this artwork within a couple of hours. The objective of the stunt was to get the attention of potential international network partners to renew the series.
