2-component spray application is a low-pressure system using paint guns with atomizing air. This equipment can only apply flat, continuous and interrupted, lines. The Borum machines can be supplied with one or two paint guns depending on customer needs. One spray gun can apply line widths of up to 20 cm, depending on application speed and layer thickness.

This video presents the working principles of road marking with the 2-component (98:2) paint gun equipment with atomizing air.

EASY PAINT GUN CONNECTION

For mounting the paint gun on the retainer the main things you need to do:
Fit the correct adapter for the mixer.
Connect the mixer to the mixing head.
Attach the mixing head to the bracket.
Add a paint gun on the retainer and fix it with clamps on both sides.
Attach the pneumatic connections for the paint gun.
Once you have implemented these steps, the paint gun equipment is ready for marking on the road.

SPRAYED LINE THICKNESS, MATERIAL AND MARKING SPEED

The line thickness mainly depends on the marking speed. Depending on the actual material used, as well as the operator experience, the marking speed can be up to 10 km/h.

CLEANING OF THE SPRAY GUN EQUIPMENT

The cleaning process for the paint gun is initiated from the LineMaster computer as for all Borum equipment. Because of the atomizing air pressure, there is a greater risk of losing control of the rebounding paint into a solid container, therefore Borum recommends using a waste bag covering the paint gun completely during the cleaning process.
