TIRUPATI to CHENNAI: A beautiful train journey in India !!

A short train journey on-board the 16054 Tirupati Chennai Express which I had undergone in October 2018. The train was crowded and without having a confirmed ticket, we had to adjust somehow with fellow passengers. Our train was powered by BZA WAP-4 between Tirupati and Renigunta while ED WAP-4 for was in charge between Renigunta and Chennai Central! It was a nice enjoyable journey through the rocky/hilly terrains of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The RU-AJJ is a busy section with heavy traffic.

The 16054 TPTY MAS Express departs Tirupati Main (TPTY) daily morning at 10 AM with two electric locomotives - one at the front and other one at the rear to avoid locomotive reversal at the busy Renigunta (RU) Junction. The front E-loco hauls the train from TPTY to RU before getting detached there. The loco which was at the rear now takes over for the remaining part of journey from RU to MAS. Later, the 16054 has stops at Puttur, Ekamarakuppam, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur, Perambur before reaching Chennai Central (MAS) at 1:40 PM in the afternoon.
