The most DELICIOUS LIVER MASALA you ever had ! Mutton Liver Pepper Masala Kerala Style

A mixture of spices and liver together combined and nicely coated to make a nice dry dish. Black pepper and the subtle yet fresh taste of the pearl onions makes this dish a treat to your palate and leaves you wanting for more !

Mutton Liver Pepper Masala is a spicy & tasty masala flavored with lots of pepper and it goes well with rice and rasam or as a side dish with chapati.

Ingredients :

250 gms Mutton Liver

To remove the unpleasant odour from the liver :
Soak liver in :
1 tsp Vinegar
Water as required

For the Masala Paste :

1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (Sunflower Oil)
50 gms Shallots
12 gms (5 to 6 flakes) Garlic
8 gms Ginger (roughly chopped)
4 nos. Dry Red Chillies
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
1 tbsp Peppercorns
1 tsp Fennel Seeds
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
2 to 3 tbsp Coriander Leaves
2 tbsp Water for grinding

Other Ingredients :

3 tbsp Vegetable Oil (Sunflower Oil) (use as per your diet restrictions)
2 sticks Cinnamon
2 nos. Green Cardamoms
1 Bay Leaf
100 gms (1 medium size) Onion (sliced)
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
Few Curry Leaves
100 ml Water (to be used after rinsing the blender jar)
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Few Curry Leaves
1 tsp Pepper Powder (or as per taste)
Few Coriander Leaves


Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
