BACKGROUND:


Last week was the 2 year anniversary of the #Tops Friendly #Supermarket Shooting that killed 10 people in my hometown, Buffalo, New York. I wrote this song as a tribute to my city and the victims of the racist mass shooting. The song is also a dedication to the children and teachers that were killed in the Uvalde elementary school shooting, which took place only a couple weeks after the Buffalo shooting. Both mass shootings effected me a lot more than most because they were so close to my homes. So it only felt right to express myself through the music. I also featured my father, Henry L Taylor Jr, who was interviewed by #CNN about the tragic supermarket shooting. I recorded the song a little less than 2 years ago but those same emotions I had then still exist now. I hope you enjoy and also check out "Land Of The Free" Pt. 1 and 2. Links below.
