I take a wander around the Langley Mill Basin (also known as the Great Northern Basin) situated at the end of the 11.5 mile stretch of the Erewash Canal, in Derbyshire, England.

I take some drone footage too, although the weather wasn’t brilliant with cloud cover looming overhead, but hey, this should give you an idea of what the Langley Mill Basin area looks like from my eye-in-the-sky.

The Langley Mill Basin is certified as a Silver Propeller location, as part of the Silver Propeller Challenge as set out by the Inland Waterways Association. More details from https://waterways.org.uk/waterways/us....

My post-edited aerial footage involved my drone being launched from several locations in order to satisfy the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) line-of-sight drone legislation, updated December 7th, 2022.

I have been a qualified drone pilot registered with the CAA since 2019. I hold a current operator’s licence, valid until 2027 and various drone insurances, including public liability insurance that covers me whilst I am flying my drone.
