Motorcycle camping is difficult on the best days, but throw in a strong desert wind as a curveball for camp cooking and no camp stove and you're in trouble. Getting out of Wells Nevada and into Idaho to the Idaho BDR is extremely cold. We take a little detour off the Idaho BDR to a Bruneau Canyon river camp and respite from the wind.

Some gorgeous yet barren landscape later we end up herding sheep. Yes herding sheep on a motorcycle was needed to get to the camp cooking shop where we grabbed some pork loins for the campfire grill and assorted vegetables. Getting into the Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park we pick out the best campsite available and get down to cooking in the wind.

Prepping the meat and veggies was easy compared to the actual cooking and everything turned out great. After the camp cooking we head out the Bruneau Dunes for sunset and goodnight.
