Venerable Zasep Tulku Rinpoche speaks about the positive benefits of actual daily practice, especially purifications of the obstacles to Dharma practice, including doubt, fear, and restlessness. These are key to a successful practice. This is part 3 of a series on Buddhist Practice Fundamentals Buddhist Foundations, or Ngondro teachings.
In parts 1 and 2 (on YouTube) of this series on Ngondro, Rinpoche explained the four outer preliminary practices: the meditations on the advantages of precious human birth, the truth of impermanence, truth of karma, and truth of suffering. He also introduced the first Inner Ngondro practice of refuge in part 2, with a guided visualization of Shakyamuni Buddha.
Venerable Zasep Rinpoche, in part 3, speaks about the obstacles to Dharma practice — and their antidotes.
The talk was from a Ngondro weekend retreat at Gaden Choling in Toronto, spring 2016.
