The Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Awards recognize the expertise and dedication of publicado relatos and Communications professionals within San Diego an Imperial Countries. Those who knew him were inspired by his poweful use of Communications and believed he should be in historians' listo as one of the most influencia figures of the 20th Century. Entries for the Bernays Awards must meet the highest standards of performance, and winning entries demostraste creative visión and capture the best of the best in our profession.

A long time communications professional D'Garay has expertise in crisis government and corporate communicactions, as well as Community, media relations and public affairs. Throughout his career, D'Garay has traveled the world for work, consulting a wide spectrum of clients spanning various industries.

He has been recognized by the Board of Directors of the Press Club of San Diego, California with the “Andy Mace 2022 Special Award”, and by the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego and Imperial Valley Chapter with the “Otto Bos Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award 2022” for being a professional who throughout his career, has distinguished himself and has set an example and demonstrated a high ethical level of transparency and impartiality and for his contributions in the field of public relations that have had a significant impact on the profession and have served as a model for others.

He is the only Mexican who has been part of the Board of Directors of the Public Relations Society of America based in New York (PRSA 2020-2021); he was elected International Delegate for the year 2023 and also serves as Co-Chair of Global Affairs of PRSA; he is National Vice President of the Mexican Association of Public Relations Professionals (PRORP MEXICO) and since 2022 he is a member of the North American Regional Council of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management based in Switzerland.
