The uneasy relationship between Hybe and Min Hee-jin, CEO of its subsidiary Ador, continues to make headlines. Recently, Ador, the agency behind popular K-pop group NewJeans, reportedly declined a prime spot offer from the Grammy Museum for the upcoming Hybe exhibition in Los Angeles, running from August 2 to September 15. The Grammy Museum, which focuses on the history and winners of the Grammy Awards, proposed this prominent placement for NewJeans in March, ensuring they would be the first exhibit visitors see. Hybe communicated this offer to Ador, expressing a desire for NewJeans' inclusion, but Ador declined, citing the group's minor role in the exhibition. This has fueled speculation about internal conflicts between Min and Hybe, especially following Min's April accusation that another Hybe subsidiary plagiarized NewJeans’ style. Hybe, which filed a breach of trust complaint against Min, announced the exhibition would feature 12 K-pop bands, excluding NewJeans. Hybe stated that participation decisions were left to each label’s discretion. NewJeans also missed the Weverse Con in June due to scheduling conflicts, further highlighting the ongoing tensions.
