FOR SALE: 1936 Railton Drop Head Coupe in two tone brown with brown leather interior. This John Charles Ranalah bodied coupe has a Hudson 4.2L engine on a Hudson chassis. It is listed on the UK Railton club registry as probably a one-off. When looking into the history of the car we found that Ranalah used the same body on a Rolls Royce 20/25 drop head coupe.

Since we have had this car it has been completely gone though. The underside has been stripped and painted. The fuel tank was removed and cleaned out along with the fuel lines. The brakes have been cleaned and painted, the slaves and master cylinder have been replaced along with new brake pads and all four tyres. The gearbox has been removed, cleaned, painted and checked. The gimbal bearing and clutch plate have been replaced. The sump was removed due to an oil leak and the gasket replaced. Whilst doing this we took the valve cover plates off for inspection purposes. Although unconfirmed, we believe the engine has been rebuilt.

The exterior paint work shines. The chrome is all bright and the convertible top is in good condition. The interior is in stunning condition. The only thing that originally let it down was the sterring wheel but that has been restored to the original specification. Various other aesthetic works have been completed and this stunning car is ready to be enjoyed.
