The reason why most new real estate agents struggle their first year is because they don't know what to expect. They never worked as a real estate agent before, so this career is brand new to them. There will be obstacles to cross, rejection to experience, and money to budget.

This first year for new real estate agents is tough and it's the most common reason why people give up in this job. But, just because others have given doesn't mean you have to give up. You can persevere in your first year but knowing what you can expect and preparing for those rainy days.

When you make it past your first year in real estate, your chances of turning this into a lucrative career increase tremendously. That's because the first year is your make or break moment. It will test you unlike anything else in this job. Your network will be small, your expenses will be high, and your experience is limited.

But, that doesn't mean you have to do it alone.

There are tons of resources to help you survive in your first year and to keep going after that. There will always be a solution to the problem you are having, so don't give up and keep going. The number 1 reason why the first year is so challenging is because people give into their doubts when the going gets tough.
