Palmer Villages, Palmer Voices: School Photo Project

Описание к видео Palmer Villages, Palmer Voices: School Photo Project

Nelson Pease and Paula Yelinek discuss a bit of the Palmer Grammar School building’s history and describe how the School Photo Project works. Stop by during open hours to check on the progress toward naming students who attended Park Street School. You can help by bringing in missing class photos and its especially helpful if you have the student names listed! Or take a look at the photos and let them know if you can add names of unidentified students.

Schoolhouse Commons, 1085 Park St., Palmer, MA, is currently operating with numerous small businesses in the former school building. Palmer Grammar School class photos from 1891-1991 (an incomplete collection) are on display in the lobby. Once it is available, an inventory of the project will be posted here and on the Palmer Public Library website. They are still seeking ALL Park St class pictures from the 1980s through 1991.

The Palmer Public Library is using this Class Photo Identification Project as a model. The library will begin scanning class photos (and looking for students names) from all Palmer schools beginning in Sept 2024.

If you come across school photos (or related materials such as graduation programs or yearbooks) to contribute please set them aside and check www.palmerlibrary.org
