American DJ's "My Favorite Song" Video Contest Rules
A contest sponsored by American DJ, American Audio, Arriba Cases & Accu-Cable.
Open to anyone worldwide of any age. Must have You Tube account to join contest.
First Prize includes DJ equipment worth more that $1000. More than $4000 in total prizes. Videos must be submitted by Friday, March 16, 2012. Bonus early submission, "Friday the 13th" prize worth $900, must be submitted by Friday, January 13, 2012.
Overview: This contest is open to anyone worldwide of any age. Contestants must have a You Tube account and submit a short video, 5 minutes or less, explaining what their favorite song is and why. Is there something about the song that just makes you feel you can do anything in the world? Does it get you in touch with deepest feelings? Is there a history to it? Or maybe there's something about the melody that works magic over any crowd?
How To Enter: Contestants enter this contest by submitting an original video as a "Video Response" to this video. Purchasing any product by the sponsoring companies will not increase a contestant's chances of winning.
Eligibility: The contest is open to anyone worldwide of any age. Contestants must have an active You Tube account and must meet You Tube's privacy policy. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and their immediate family members of American DJ, American Audio, Arriba Cases and their agencies are not eligible to enter.
Video Requirements: The content of the video entries can be as open and varied as the contestants' imaginations. In the video, contestants should explain why they chose their favorite song.
Video entries can be funny, warm, simple or rich with special effects, as long as they aren't over five minutes in length.
Videos will be judged on the quality and originality of the story, so DJs are encouraged to let their minds and creativity run free and tell the world about the songs that move them most.
No bias will be shown to any group. There is no purchase necessary to compete in this contest.

There will be a special bonus "random drawing" that will take place at the American DJ NAMM Booth in January. Entries for the Special Bonus Drawing need to be posted as a "video response" to Brian S. Redd's contest video by midnight Pacific Time on Friday, January 13, 2012 to qualify. The Bonus Drawing will be announced on Brian S. Redd's You Tube Channel by Tuesday, January 24, 2012. The Bonus Drawing winner will be notified via You Tube private message.
