हल्दुपड़ाव वन विश्राम गृह ।a hidden paradise

Halduparao FRH built in 1892 is one of the many such rest houses built in the kumaon and garhwal forests during the British era by the bank of the Palain river, branch of Sonanadi. The old building is now reserved for forest officials and there is a new 2 storey building in the campus, built in 2005-06, kitchen and dining on ground and 2 large rooms accomodating 3 people each with good facilities. Solar powered lights and perimeter fence, generator is available for filling water tanks by submersible pumps. Food stuff and drinking water has to be carried by visitors, cook is available
Maximum stay allowed is 3N/4D gypsy is available with driver for safari and any other need. A beautiful Shiv Temple is present in the shade of an ancient banyan tree with aerial roots rooted in the soil. During the day many birds and animals move about in the campus, seen here are a family of jackals, a female spotted deer, long tailed minivets, red breasted flycatcher, gray bushchat, chestnut bellied nuthatch and many more. Time flies while you soak in the sunshine under a clear blue sky with forest all around, fresh air and sound of the river running in front of the rest house
The other rest houses near by are Mundiapani and Rathuadhab while Pahkro and Morghatti are farther away. Must visit place for all nature and wildlife lovers
