FOO FIGHTERS Perform FABULOUS Covers During Intros With Taylor, Dave & Luke Spiller Singing 12/5/17

One of the great Foo Fighters traditions are the band introductions which continues in this video, with Nate Mendel performing a tease from Queen's Another One Bites the Dust with Taylor Hawkins doing the vocal. Next is keyboardist Ramee Jaffee, who plays the arpeggio from Rush's Tom Sawyer after which the band joins in with Dave singing (WOW). Pat Smear follows breaking into the Ramones Blitzkrieg Bop. Last, but certainly not least (as Dave calls him, the Ayatollah of Rock'n'/Rolla is Taylor Hawkins who starts a sing-along and then, with the help of opening act The Struts' lead singer Luke Spiller perform a cover of Under Pressure with Dave on drums and Taylor out front at the Matthew Knight Arena at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon on December 5, 2017. Tom Sawyer was written by Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Neil Peart and Pye Dubois and was the opening track and third single on Moving Picture, Rush's eighth studio album released in February 1981. Blitzkrieg Bob was written by Tommy and Dee Dee Ramone and was the opening track on The Ramones eponymous debut album released in April 1976. Under Pressure was written Rooger Taylor, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, John Deacon and Brian May, and was the closing track and lead single on Hot Space, Queen's tenth studio album release in May 1982. Under Pressure, Queen's collaboration with David Bowie was released in 1981, well ahead of the album, and is considered by many as one of the greatest songs of all time (and was voted as the second greatest collaboration of all time in a Rolling Stone poll).
