The original story follows a team of archeologists who specialize in researching music and instruments from cultures around the world. They are in Adventure Isle to share the stories and rhythms of their travels. They set off on a journey to find the “Rhythm of Adventure” with an original musical number featuring live drummers and dancers.

The show features five music styles: regional, big band, hip hop, Latin jazz, and pop. In different versions of the show "each of the five music styles takes guests on one of two adventures." Each adventure features different characters
