Thanks for watching this local guide to the Grand Traverse in the Gore Range. I can’t wait to hear about your adventure - comment below with how you enjoyed the Grand Traverse.

The Gores are the traditional homeland of the Arapaho, Ute, and Cheyenne people. Some of the trails have been around since before settlers came. Visit with respect.

The elusive Gore Range is particularly sought after by avid hikers, climbers, and backpackers for its rugged, remote wilderness.

The Spirit of the Gores is to keep things a little hidden. But if you do your homework and you’re willing to just get out there you can find amazing hidden gems in this area.

Snag a topo map of the area and go where your heart takes you: Here’s a link for the Nat Geo topo map of the area: https://bit.ly/43rR9wf

Fox in the Forest aims to empower you to get outside. Covering incredible outdoor locations in Colorado, the American Southwest, and Lake Tahoe, I want you to travel like a local, not a tourist.

As always, visit the Gores responsibly! Always pack out your trash including water bottles, fruit peels, toilet paper, and anything else you bring with you. Leave only footprints.

Follow all closures, fire bans, drone regulations (no drones in the Eagle’s Nest Wilderness - aka the Gore Range), and dog rules (dogs must be leashed on all trails).

NOTE: The Grand Traverse is NOT suitable for pets.

✨ About the Photos and Video:
Transparency is important to me when it comes to photography. There is Instagram and there is reality. And you should be inspired by BOTH.

I intentionally use photos and videos that have been edited for color and lighting, and ones that haven’t.

All the photos and videos you see of these incredible Vail hikes were taken by me. I rarely edit other people out of photos (and I would make a note here if I did!).
