Karnataka: 8 MLAs take oath as ministers in Siddaramaiah cabinet

The newly-inducted Karnataka cabinet saw the formal induction of eight MLAs from the Congress party as ministers. Exactly one week after the Congress party's sweeping victory in the state assembly polls, the oath-taking ceremony took place amidst esteemed dignitaries. Among the notable attendees were Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former President Rahul Gandhi, and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. However, former AICC President Sonia Gandhi was not present at the event. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Chief Ministers from Congress-ruled states, namely Ashok Gehlot of Rajasthan, Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, and Sukhvinder Singh Sukku of Himachal Pradesh, along with several prominent party leaders.
