The crowds were out in force in Ayr to welcome the boys back. Job well done lads. We'll remember those who didn't return. I must add they are my old battalion (1RHF) As time goes by the memories and personalities keep interrupting the day to day, each time I hear of another one passing on I think Christ, were we so young, so keen. Aye, if they couldn't fight the enemy they fought each other just for the fun of it...The best years of our lives and we didn't know it!
