SYMPTOMS OF BAD BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR
In this video we will cover the symptoms of bad blend door actuator. We will explain the most common symptoms of bad blend door actuator based on our experience at the shop. When blend door actuator starts going out you may notice clicking and noise coming from behind the dash when you first start the car or when you change the heater setting or ac settings. When the blend door actuator quits working properly you may notice that the heater may blow cold air instead of blowing hot air and the A/C air conditioner may blow warm or hot air instead of cold air. This will be caused because the blend door actuator will not be able to move the gate that mixes hot and cold air behind the dash. If you have dual climate control you may have 2 blend door actuators, one blend door actuator will control the driver heating settings and the other will work for the passenger side.
