EP-1| Pune to Gokarna Bike Ride| Don't Trust Google Maps Timings,Reality is Different| Motovlog 2023

In the first episode of our Pune to Gokarna bike trip, we embarked on a journey covering a distance of 515 kilometers. According to Google Maps, this route typically takes around 10 to 12 hours to reach Gokarna. However, our actual travel time extended to almost 16 hours due to several factors.

One significant reason for the delay was ongoing road construction along our route. Roadwork can often lead to slower traffic and detours, which can add considerable time to your journey. Additionally, the last 80 kilometers of our journey, specifically the stretch from Yellapur to Gokarna, proved to be in poor condition. This deteriorated road surface posed challenges and further contributed to the extended travel time.

One important piece of advice we learned from our experience is to avoid traveling on this section of the road after sunset. Regardless of your mode of travel, whether it's by car or bike, navigating this patch in the dark can be quite challenging and risky. It's crucial to plan your journey to ensure you reach your destination before nightfall to ensure safety and a smoother travel experience.
