A famous Buddhist and great leader of his time, Gautam Buddha for which this 2500 year old stupa was built, still tells the story in the beautiful green surrounding located at Nalasopara village which is also called Sopara Gaon.
The remains and few age old idols is what one can see when visiting this stupa location in north of Mumbai suburb, Thane district which is not under palghar district.
Talking to the Heritage committee members from vasai who were available there we came to know about the upcoming development and preservation plans of this stupa which looks a plus to this location. Hope for the best and let it attract more tourist from around the world.
