Update on the Parents & Grandparents Sponsorship Program.
📍Only applications received in 2025 will be accepted for processing in 2026 and no new applications are accepted with effect from Jan 1st 2026.
📍A maximum of 10,000 sponsorship applications for parents or grandparents under the family class received in 2025 will be accepted for processing during the 2026 calendar year, from January 1 to December 31, 2026.
This limit may be amended by subsequent Ministerial Instructions, and unless such instructions are issued, no other related sponsorship or permanent resident visa applications will be accepted in 2026.
