Assistive Technology (AT) may be essential for enhancing social interactions and developing essential life skills for individuals with diverse abilities and developmental delays. This webinar will provide valuable insights and practical tips and strategies for caregivers, educators, therapists, or individuals interested in using AT as an innovative tool to support and empower individuals to thrive and participate fully in society.
Please join Debbie Drennan, MSW and AT Consultant, as she discusses:
– Introduction to Assistive Technology: Understanding the concept and its applications in promoting social interaction and life skills development.
– Social Engagement Tools: Exploring digital platforms and technologies that facilitate social connections and inclusive interactions.
– Independent Living Support: Examining assistive devices and applications designed to assist with daily activities, time management, and household tasks.
Debbie Drennan, MSW and Assistive Technology Consultant, has been an AT Specialist for over 20 years, Assistive Technology Consultant (AT). She believes that AT is a key component to the successful inclusion of all individuals. She became passionate about assistive technology and inclusion because of her children – one of whom has Cerebral Palsy, and another who has ADHD. Both are now successful, independent adults.
