Kakilambe at the first ever "Sing for Water" Cardiff 2015
Lead by Laura Bradshaw in this arrangement which seems to have had a lot of different input - originally a rhythm for the "Mask" dance of the Baga people of West Africa - calling on the spirit of "Kaki Lambe" to bring strength, renewal and fertility to the land and community. The rhythm was created into the chant originally by Brian Tate, Added to by Betsy Sansby, added to or changed by Roxane Smith for the "Sing for Water" London event, added to by Pauline Down for the Cardiff event and structured by L.Bradshaw

Here we see 700 + singers (from 42 choirs) performing it in 9 different parts.

So far the event has raised over £30000 (as of Monday 29th June)
