SMART FARM | Dairy farmer shifts to high yielding Guatemala grass

Smallholder dairy farmers in Nyeri are now shifting to a more high yielding fodder that is boosting their daily milk production. That fodder crop known as Guatemala grass can also withstand drought and diseases affecting normal grass such as nappier. Our reporter Denis Otieno met one such farmer in Nyeri County and tells us more on this week’s smart farm.
