In a revamp of the Gifted Education Programme (GEP), students will now be able to join higher-ability programmes from Primary 4 to 6 instead of just one time at Primary 4.

Those who are stronger learners will get to stay in their own schools and take up programmes up to Primary 6.

Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing said that the changes will make for a more "inclusive" approach to develop higher-ability learners.
