Good news/bad news about parenting. Historically we would have lived in communal groups, where many adults were caring for the children. We would have had a diversity of parents.

Bad news: You will never be a perfect parent. You will not be able to meet of all their needs

Good news: You aren't supposed to. You were never meant to do this alone.

It is worth cultivating relationships with other adults for the purpose of letting your children get to know them. It is good for children to experience different kinds of care, different aspects, and different skills.
