Pumpkin Kumbilappam || Pumpkin Snack ||Steamed pumpkin Dumplings || A traditional Kerala Snack || Vazhana Appam
(Here is the recipe of a steamed ripe pumpkin dumplings snack, a variation of Chakka (jackfruit) kumbilappam, a traditional evening snack of God’s Own Country, but eaxactly as if made with the ripe jackfruit. The so called kumbils or cones can be made in plaintain leaves, vatta ila, vazhana ila or using jackfruit leaves. Here, the dough is filled in plantain leaves which is shaped into cones or kumbils and so the name kumbilappams. Enjoy!!!!)
