The Subways - 1AM (Official Video)

'1AM' was the first ever music video made by The Subways. It accompanied their first official single release on Transgressive records of a limited 7" back in 2004. https://www.thesubways.net The Subways are playing 'Young For Eternity' in full at shows across Europe in 2020. They are also releasing special editions of their debut and sophomore albums to celebrate the debuts 15th anniversary. The extended CD include this version of 1AM and the accompanying b-sides (originally released on 500 copies of vinyl only)

Back in 2005 The Welwyn Garden City trio quickly established themselves as one of Britain's most undeniably exhilarating new bands. On 27th March 2020, they will reissue their 'Young For Eternity' debut, alongside their second record ‘All Or Nothing’. This is the first time either album has been released on 12" LP. They will be on limited edition, numbered, red and limited edition, numbered, orange, 180 gram vinyl respectively and each will include a unique signed poster. Just announced also are the double CD extended editions of both albums, which include previously unheard and unreleased material.

Shot with a budget of £200 under Brighton pier after the band had met a very young video director team Tom, Ben and Blake Claridge who enthusiastically pitched the video idea to the band, over a pint in the Cock Tavern, above their old London haunt The Buffalo Bar in Highbury and Islington. Blake and Middlefield Pictures went onto direct several other videos with the band.
