Halisahar is the birth place of the legendary religious reformer Ramprasad Sen. His home is also a very sacred place to the religious Hindus. The vita or mandir is best known for its mystical spiritualism. Every year thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the country gather here to celebrate the religious Annokut Utsab .
