This video shows the pump down of refrigerant and containment in the outdoor heat-pump as a temporary solution before reclaiming and containing in a drum for recycling which I will show in another video. I show you the tools needed and the entire process to prepare for changing the unit out, or for servicing the lineset or evaporator coil. This will remove refrigerant from the rest of the system to service but you would need a reclaim and contain to replace any refrigerant components in the outdoor heat-pump.
