Do you have several damaged LiPo batteries? A battery cell that won't balance or hold proper voltage anymore? Before you trash them, it may be possible to fix them!

In this video I go through the process of how to salvage and fix LiPo batteries, and also demonstrate what happens if you puncture a battery. *

NOTE: This is DANGEROUS, and requires CAUTION as well as some basic knowledge of electronics and soldering. The process is not difficult and can be performed safely resulting in a normal functioning battery. (Proceed at own risk, I take no responsibility for any resulting loss or injury.)

UPDATE: I stated that each battery cell is 325mAh but this is incorrect. Each cell is 1300mAh, and they are wired in series to increase the total output voltage.

*This procedure is not really recommended, however I know many of you hobbyists are going to attempt this repair anyway so I figured I would share my experience and tips. With that said I take no responsibility for any damage, injury or issues that result from you following this process.

Supplies and Tools Needed:
2 Identical LiPo batteries. These MUST be the same Make, Model, and Size. DO NOT mix cells of different battery types, brands or capacity sizes.
Soldering Iron and Solder
Wire Cutters
Electrical Tape
Shrink Wrap
Multimeter or Voltage Meter

This repair is especially helpful for anyone doing FPV Drone Racing and Freestyle where crashing happens a lot and batteries often become damaged. However those with RC planes, boat, cars, truck and other applications using LiPo batteries will benefit from this as well. These batteries are expensive and so it's nice to salvage and repair some from time to time. This procedure could work with swollen cells and other types of batteries as well, but I do not cover that here and you should research that before proceeding.
